Lucid dream flying and swimming tips
There is a curious time during sleep that seems more conducive to the ability to attempt lucid dreaming. This is about two hours prior to my normal rising time. I drift back into to sleep and when aware that I am positioned into the dreamscape I realize that I am aware and able to start the conjuring process. It's important for me to be on my back with my arms free at my sides and that the room is dark and free of noise. I find that breathing through my nose is best and my sinuses should be clear. Clothing can be a hindrance so I choose to sleep in the nude. Be aware that if you try this you may actually end up flying around, or swimming nude which can be a bit embarrassing, but that's another hurdle we all must conquer.
Next what I try to do is think of a landscape, not any one in particular as the mind will usually build something fantastic. try to get yourself up to a high point or figure some way to launch yourself into the air. If you are lucky enough to be able to simply jump and continue flying then go for it. I seem to need a bit of help. In this mornings trip I was in China where prehistoric beasts were being used. Now that I think of it this was very similar to the tusked animals in the Flintsones, but real. I grabbed the tip of one of the 100 foot tusks to try and irritate the animal but needed to tap on it to create a bother. After it noticed I was hanging on the tip of it's tusk it lurched its head high into the air, launching me on my way.
Once I am airborn I can usually manage to stay up by allowing myself to fall towards the ground and then swoop back up and fly. I can manage to stay up using this method over and over. Take note of interesting things within your view and choose to go in for a closer inspection. You will be amazed the level of detail that you will find. I saw Victorian gingerbread architecture in the middle of a chinese landscape, terraced grassy lawns that I swooped down and touched with my bare feet.
This mornings journey was approximately 2 hours long and I actually began to become slightly bored, so I decided to try going into sub terranean tunnels filled with water. This took a moment to get used to, but breathing through my nose proved successful and I could similarly fly about with little or no resistance. These waters were a bit dirty but I continued to swoop around, listened to a group of musical performers for a moment where I saw my sister. I grabbed her by the wrist and showed her where I was actually sleeping so that she could wake me and we could go get sometihng to eat. She did not want to disturb me, so I actually went to myself and nudged myself out of sleep. These experiences leave me feeling joyous and creative. I hope that you try it for yourself and find a similar joy.
Oh don't be afraid to fall, this is very key to success. Good luck
